gadget-y fun time

despite waking up this morning to rain and the fact that i looked like i'd risen from the dead rather than my warm bed, the lure of playing with my new toy at training won the day. funnily enough the rain held off too - although we were stomping through puddles in a few places.

i was feeling really strong today which hasn't happened for a while. today's program was 1.8km, 1.2km, 1km. so here is a bit of data from freddy the forerunner (ok - i haven't thought of a good name yet - any suggestions? i think its a boy).

Run from home to the oval: 1.3km @ 7.14 pace (i was still asleep!!) and 168 calories.
2 laps of the oval: 844m @ 7.05 pace (waking up slowly...) and 110 calories
Strides: 1.4km - averaged 7.50 pace but this included walking around - top pace was 3.46! 150 cals
1st rep - 1.8km - 9.12 - avg pace 5.06 - 184 cals
2nd rep - 1.2k - 6.00 - avg pace 5.00 - 122 cals
3rd rep - 1k - 4.55 - 103 cals
jog slowly home...1.2k - avg 7.34 - 148 cals

total 8.76 km and 985 cals!

Anyway that is mostly useless info - but the highlight for me was my first official sub 5minute kilometre!!! i really felt like i pushed hard the whole session so was pleased to see that number!

thanks everyone for your powering up suggestions for the 305. i will try charging from the computers cause to be honest the adaptor is pretty unwieldy!!

Lol don't believe the cals on the 305 they are out to billyo.

Freddy is a good name - though to be sure of the sex you need to time how long it takes to acquire satellites - any longer than 90's for it to warm up and it is definitely a girl ;-)

Ok, ok - I'll take myself off to the naughty corner :-)
