recovery 4k
i was a bit apprehensive about going for a run today. i know it was only 15k on monday but give the course it was actually the longest i've ever run and suspect that my legs were a bit shocked. Decided to take the legs out for a gentle lap of the park and a bit. 4k in roughly 25 mins something. Just under 6.30 pace. This is approximate as the garmin completely cracked up and was telling me for a long time that i had run 1 or 8m and then it would get up to 15, and then start counting down again. hmmm...
anyway - felt a bit of a struggle but glad i got it out of the way. didn't feel the need to do much more - good to be fresh for sunday after all!
the plan for the rest of the week: tomorrow AM do a gentle 3 lap ride of the park, and then run one lap. saturday stroke correction. Then it is sunday. holy bejeezus.
tesso - the distances are: 750m swim, 20k ride, 5k run.
I am guessing that I will do about 20 mins for the swim (maybe more...), anywhere between 45 mins and an hour for the ride and between 27 and 30 mins for the run (that is optimistic too!). I will be happy to finish under 2 hours!

Sounds like a good plan Ellie, Good luck for Sunday I look forward to reading about your Tri debut.
You are going to ROCK honey. But most of all - enjoy it :-)
Looking forward to cheering you on - fingers crossed !
Thanks for the info Ellie. Gee, that's a decent triathlon, half Olympic distance. Most people start out on baby ones! Having said that I'm sure you will romp it in :-)
Good luck on Sunday Ellie. You'll do ok. Just don't go too hard at the start of the bike leg or you'll have nothing left for the run.
Good luck Sunday Ellie!!
Happy New Year Ellie...have a great 2007!!
That was an excellent run at BTBS. Have an awesome swim/ride/run at the Nepean Tri :)
Nice sensible goals! Triathlon is so much fun- every time you get sick of one thing, the next bit starts. You'll have an absolute blast :-)
Have a good Tri on Sunday Ellie. Enjoy the experience - take it all in :)
Good luck for tomorrow. I'm looking forward to the race report.
