wild wally

aka - hills with nasty long flat bits where you have to keep up your speed right at the top and lots of down as well. Sean made a slightly different circuit today. starting at the bottom of the hill it was apparently about a 700m track. i had 5 on the program and did 5. had a break between 3 and 4. my times in the end were 3.35, 3.37, 3.37 (i started feeling a bit icky here) 3.40 and then (what a ripper) 3.53.

i am amazed to see some of the people who ran the half and full marathons at gold coast back and hooning up and down the hills apparently no worse for wear. i want to be like that one day!! but first things first. the goals left for this year are the city to surf and the 1/2. scary. but i did manage 10km under 60 so that is all good. i'm feeling pretty good at the moment when i am out. i think that the month of shorter long runs (1 hour through to 1hr30) is doing me good and is building my confidence that its not a fluke every time i finish a run :)

It is also an achievement that I'm sure you will expercience too.

They're all running that quick because they are scared you might run past them at C2S in 6 weeks time. Go Ellie!

I wouldn't give up one of the sessions, it's really hard to work as hard on your own and that's what will make you faster and you'll be grateful when you reach the end of the half unscathed.
