long loop

today i was extremely fortunate to have company for my long run in the form of sweat-mate kerry. she even kindly agreed to come with me at 5.45 as i have my course on (again). kerry set a cracking pace (for me) right from the start and threw in some monster hills. luckily she was navigating as i had not a huge clue of where we were most of the time - especially as it was dark. all i know is that it included a bit of centennial park, past queens park, the back of randwick, bronte, tamaramamama, bondi, north bondi, rose bay, double bay, bondi junction and back to the park. i reckon it was definitely longer than i would normally do as i felt like we were going a fair bit quicker. which is great - but i was worried about holding kerry back! we slowed a bit on the big hills though... and walked part of one that is between double bay and bondi junction. it was a killer!!

but i feel great now - thanks kerry! (if you are a blog reader!)

at my course we are learning about unconscious processes this weekend. incredibly interesting theory. but man do i need a break!

I don't know how the hell you can run in the dark in the city by yourself...scares the crap out of me.

Do you take a torch or other type of lighting when you do your night running?

hmm - i was meaning 5.45am - so it was only dark at the start for about 30 or 40 mins - and morning dark is a lot different! i don't really run at night in the dark!!

Good on you Ellie. Now that is dedication!

Thanks for your support. My calves are feeling like concrete again today but they felt great yesterday when it counted!
