cough* splutter*

firstly thanks everyone for your congratulations! you guys are the best :)

i woke up this morning feeling very rubbish. i have a sore throat and a blocked up head and runny nose and lots of sneezing. i suspect it is due to a massive combination of new job (new germs! i always get sick at a new job!), meeting up with a sick friend on saturday for coffee and standing around in the FREEZING cold on sunday morning till the last minute before having to dump my jumper at the collection point.

i think that i am going to still go for a run tomorrow but rather than go to sweat i thought i would go out for an hour (or 70 mins) if i can do it, to make up for the long run that i missed on sunday. i was thinking that this might be more do-able than intervals. but it will be an interesting experiment in any event cause i feel crap!!!!

Don't overdo it Ellie if you are feeling crook. Now that you are a real runner I know you'll probably feel guilty taking a day or two off or taking it easy. But you may end up having even more time off if that illness gets a hold of you.

Gently Bentley - what Aunty Tesso said - don't tell her I ever said it - but she knows a thing or two....

A day or two off by choice to recover can save you a week or two against your will.

I've always found interval training a good cure for colds..well kill or cure anyway!

Take care of yourself!

Do what you can, a missed workout is no biggy..it's the first really hot day of the year here and I'm dying...so until I'm use to it again, it will be bike indoors tonight, and try running in the morning....you do what you can...

What they said...you don't want to end up really really sick.

Hah! Not wanting to miss a long run..you ARE a real runner! We all seem to have a problem with that word "recovery"!
